Chicken coop sliding door the shed that houses my chickens is quite old. it serves its purpose, but we recently had to replace the people-size door and there's a leak in the roof that needs to be fixed. it was also time to replace the pop door that the chickens use to move from the coop to the run. the old hinged door opened up to the inside.. Chicken coop sliding door i then traced it into place on the chicken coop siding and used a jig saw to cut out the opening. once we had your hole i screwed in 2 2x4's on each side of the framing for each side of the door on the inside of the coop. this will act as the guide for the sliding door..
